Hi All, Happy September! In case you haven’t heard, I moved my studio to a new location. I am now in York, Maine, which feels like the right home for Heart Stone Energy. My husband and I lived in York for over 20 years and we raised our kids right down the road from where I am now. The building has a wonderful energy and a peaceful setting. I am very grateful to be here. (The Santini Chiropractic building located at 2 Southside Road York, Maine)
The building is full of various healing modalities such as chiropractic care, acupuncture and massage. There is also a beautiful art gallery which features local artists, which just seems so appropriate and perfect.
In addition to this move and a fresh start in a new space, September feels like the perfect time to refocus my energy. I have always loved September, not only because it's my birth month but because it feels like a great resetting time. In case I haven’t mentioned it, I was a teacher which feels like a lifetime ago. September always felt like the beginning, much more so than January first. The days are warm and evenings cool, (my favorite type of weather). There is a definite shift of energy, especially in the Southern Maine and Seacoast NH area. Tourists and Summer residents are gone or starting to leave. Things feel like they are settling, the rush of Summer starts to calm and it is easier to keep to a routine. And, as much as it sounds like a romantic notion to be completely carefree and letting the day take you where it will...for some of us, namely September’s Virgos and Libras, structure is where it is at! Virgos like a routine because it provides order and stability and Libras (like me) like balance and harmony.
This year, the Autumn Equinox is on Sep 22, 2025 at 2:19pm EST. It has traditionally been a time of celebrating the harvest. The time of tending to the crops, (both in actuality and metaphorically) has ended and now it is time to reap and give thanks. The Equinox creates balance, as the yang energy of Spring and Summer wanes to allow the yin energy of Fall and Winter to emerge. While Summer's yang energy is more external and active, we are entering the time of introspection and rest. It will be a time to access and discard what is no longer serving us. Much like the trees shed their leaves, we can decide what to leave behind. Is there something you want to ‘shed’ this Fall Equinox? Is there something you want to focus on or need in order to find more balance with in your life? Only you know what these will be for you, but I invite you to contemplate these questions and enter the Fall season with a sense of peace.
With love and light,
Jan
***I am looking forward to welcoming clients into my new space and helping them balance their energy through Reiki and for some the Grief Recovery Method®, so that they can feel a sense of calm and comfort in their lives.
