Spring Energy Shift

Hi Everyone, I hope that Spring is treating you to some sunshine. Here in New England it was a very snowy winter so I’m happy to see the ground, even if it is brown for now, hence the name “mud season”.
If you recall in my Feng Shui blog, I mentioned the balance of yin and yang energy. We are entering the time of year that is predominately yang energy, it takes the lead. That is evident to me by the increased number of joggers, walkers and cyclists on the roads as well as the louder song of birds. Everyone is ready to move.
Personally, I find it hard to switch modes quickly between the rest of yin and the action of yang. I’ll get there eventually, I just need to ease into it. This is a good time of year to really look at that vision board or the list of things I want out of 2026. How am I doing? Am I acting in a way to manifest the images on the board? Although I look at it almost daily, at this time I really take the time to focus on it. Do I need to adjust? Add things? If my goals have shifted, do I need to remove and replace items? Have things happened in life that require changes or am I still holding to those ideals of what I want in life?
For the most part, I am still holding true to the items/dreams/goals on my board. I do need to get after those songs on the ukulele that I want to learn though, I admittedly haven’t put the time into that. The vision board is a reminder of what I want to achieve, and that I still need to take the actions to bring them forward.
Sometimes there is a misconception around a vision board, that if you put an image or a word on there it will just happen. Unfortunately, that is not how it works, at least that’s not how I think it works. I believe it is a visual reminder of what you want in your life and as you think of those things, energy shifts and it brings you opportunities to help manifest them. There is a bit of magical energy at work with some effort at the right time.
So this is your first quarter reminder to look at those boards or lists and readjust or recommit to what you want out of 2026. ♥️
I would like to shift gears now. Through my work as a Reiki practitioner and a Grief Recovery Specialist one thing has become exceedingly clear to me as I help clients navigate stress, pain and loss in their lives. There is a very valid and true thought that as you meet someone or encounter someone in your day you have no idea of the heavy things in their lives they carry with them, just as they do not know your story. Currently this world, as a whole, has an abundance of hate, divisiveness and disdain, as well as a lack of accountability among many who have caused harm or are currently causing harm. So I ask you to lead with kindness. In writing this, I do not mean to excuse atrocities, racism, xenophobia, or other bigotries. You can stand up for what is just and right and remain a kind person. These are not mutually exclusive. A reminder that you can have ‘good’ anger, (see blog titled Anger is it really a bad thing) that can bring about justice and change. But work against turning bitter yourself, it is a struggle in these times, but remember, you attract the energy you send out into this world.
Thank you, be well and stay safe,
Jan
